Commemorate a loved one’s immigration to Canada with a personalized ship photo from the Museum’s collection.
You will find the ship images listed in alphabetical order below. You can browse the images in two ways:
- Click a letter to see all the ship names that start with it. The number next to each letter shows how many ships start with that letter.
- Type the ship’s name in the search bar.
To order, email sfhc@pier21.ca or call toll-free 1-855-526-4721 (extension 224) with:
- The ship’s full name
- The accession number (for example, DI2012.1.1)
- Your caption in your preferred language (all languages welcome!)
You will be contacted for payment. If payment is by cheque, please make payable to “Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21”. Ship images cost $30 plus tax, shipping and handling.
Ship images are 8 by 11 inches and are in a clip frame.
Photo caption examples:
- Peter and Margaret Smith, with their children Alexander, Martha and James, arrived at in St. John, New Brunswick on December 2, 1951 aboard the Ile de France.
- Irma Klassen arrived in Montreal, Quebec in November 1956 aboard the Arosa Sun.
Note: the Museum does not have access to immigration records, manifest or passenger lists for persons arriving after 1935 under the Privacy Act of Canada. It is your responsibility to provide the landing date and ship name for persons arriving after 1935.
